Graduate student

I know it is a bit late in the process, but I am still looking for a graduate student for August 2011. He or she should be interested in conducting research with human and non-human animals in the area of learning and memory. My research is broadly focused on revealing the extent of learning during conditioning (i.e., learning about the spatial, temporal, and causal relations among stimuli) and elucidating how training parameters (e.g. number of trials, spatiotemporal proximity of stimuli) influence the type of learning that occurs. These interests have also led me to investigate working memory capacity in animals and learning strategies in children with Autism. A student with an interest in investigating the neural basis of learning and memory through the use of fMRI and pharmacological agents is a plus. If you know of a prospective graduate student who might be interested, please have them e-mail me at k.j.leising@tcu.edu. Also, they can access more information about my lab and area of study by visiting http://www.psy.tcu.edu/kl.htm or learn more about TCU by visiting http://www.tcu.edu/at-a-glance.asp. Applications will be accepted until Feb. 15, 2010. Stipends are available on a competitive basis.
