Research Assistant/Fellow

University of Lincoln - School of Life Sciences

Ref: LS1032
£25,251 + plus generous benefits
Fixed-term for 12 months

The post is based within the School of Life Sciences, whose mission is to deliver high quality teaching, research and consultancy into the Organismal Biosciences from within a creative, sustainable and academically thriving School of Life Sciences. Specifically to provide a higher educational environment that is contemporary in terms of pedagogy and subject specific skills and knowledge and to conduct and publish research of international standing.

You will be responsible for conducting research on the project, as directed by the Principal Investigator (Dr Oliver Burman), and are expected to operate with a significant degree of autonomy. You may be required to help supervise the work of more junior researchers.

This project is based upon investigating the behavioural responses of pet cats to food - specifically, the study will aim to identify novel behaviours that could be used to determine the value of different foods to individual cats. The research outcomes will therefore allow us to be better able to determine which foods are preferred by cats.
