Postdoc opening in cognitive neuroscience at Duke

Postdoctoral positions in the cognitive neuroscience of attention and perception

The Woldorff Lab at the Center for Cognitive Neuroscience at Duke University is currently accepting postdoctoral applications for individuals interested in studying the neural and cognitive mechanisms of attention, perception, and cognitive control. These studies employ fMRI, ERPs, and oscillatory EEG measures of brain activity, along with simultaneous recordings of EEG and fMRI, in order to advance our understanding of the mechanisms underlying these fundamental cognitive functions.
Excellent research resources and environment, including high-density ERP recording facilities, state-of-the-art 3T MRI scanners fully dedicated to neuroimaging research, and MR-compatible EEG equipment for the simultaneous EEG/fMRI recordings. Nearby clinical resources include Duke Hospital and the adjacent Durham VA Hospital. International collaborative arrangements also allow for access to state-of-the-art MEG facilities.
Desirable candidates will have a background in attention, perception, and/or cognitive control research, expertise in either fMRI or EEG/ERP methods, and strong computer skills. Of particular interest would be candidates with fMRI experience who are interested in combined fMRI/EEG approaches. For additional information, contact Dr. Woldorff at woldorff [ à ] duke.edu.
