Position Description:
An experience of a life time working with SA's five indigenous primate species, hands-on!
We are looking for long term volunteers with a passion for wildlife, who understand that hours can be demanding and erratic depending on work that needs to be done or new cases looked after and cared for.
Willing to learn ALL aspects of animal rehabilitatiion; collecting animals,processing new cases, cleaning, feeding, medication, focal assessments and monitoring, food and standing crop index assessments, erecting release enclosures, pre and post release monitoring. Will be expected to stay at release site on occasion.
Must be able to work with people as well as animals as will be in charge of short term volunteers at the centre.
Be able to teach new volunteers routines and all daily chores.
Will be expected to monitor food usage and quantities to ensure constant fresh supplies.

Qualifications/Experience:
Any animal related work and/or studies, eg. animal management will be a bonus.
Must have a valid driver's license.

Salary/funding:
No salary, but rehabilitation course will be funded by Centre.

Support provided for internship/volunteer positions (travel, meals, lodging):
Travel expenses for volunteer's own account. Will be met at Phalaborwa airport or Tzaneen bus station.
Meals and lodging for Centre's account

Term of Appointment:
6 to 12 months or longer
