Announcement: open PhD fellowship position at University of Copenhagen

Understanding human movement patterns is a very important factor when planning for smarter and greener cities. Within the context of intra-urban transportation analysis the PhD study should seek to identify and apply advanced GIS-based methods for registration, analysis, visualisation, and simulation of individual movement patterns by foot, bicycle or public means. Data may be collected using GPS and video cameras, analysed using spatial statistics and reproduced by e.g. agent-based models. The findings are expected to contribute significantly to the analysis of different spatial scenarios related to urban planning and design.
