Call for applications: 9 PhD scholarships available! (2nd annoucement + newsletter)


Dear colleagues, we would like to point your attention to the following call for Ph.D. candidates which is currently open for applications.
 Please circulate this announcement to anyone for whom you might think this would be interesting.
Students that will receive their MSc degree in 2013 are also invited to apply!
 We are particularly looking for talented young scientists that are interested in pursuing a doctoral career abroad.
  
Call for applications: 9 PhD scholarships available at the European graduate school for Animal Breeding and Genetics.
EGS-ABG offers 4-year EU-funded grants for PhD students scheduled to start on September 2013.
Candidates are expected to conduct research on a collaborative project between two universities.
Successful candidates will receive a joint doctoral degree from these universities.
Closing date: 30 November 2012

The European Graduate School in Animal Breeding and Genetics (EGS-ABG) offers a highly prestigious programme
to train the new generations of animal breeders to meet the challenges of the increasing
demand of food while reducing the impacts on environment and biodiversity.

EGS-ABG is jointly organized by four European higher education institutions: AgroParisTech (APT, France, coordinator),
Aarhus University (AU, Denmark), Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU, Sweden) and Wageningen University (WU, The Netherlands).
