Super-volunteers: Fight against wildlife traffic in tropical Africa

Position Description:
We are activists motivated by the big failure of aid in Africa, disillusioned by the waste, lack of conviction and corruption in the aid business. With the hope of bringing about a real change and in order to prove that Civil Society Organizations can and should develop a much more demanding and aggressive approach in this fight. The Last Great Ape Organisation (www.laga-enforcement.org) started tackling corruption issues as an NGO. LAGA facilitated replication of several projects in Congo (http://palf-enforcement.org/congo-brazzaville/about-us), Gabon (www.conservation-justice.org), RCA, Togo and in Guinea.

Qualifications/Experience:
We are now searching for super-volunteers ho:
• Have had an experience in Africa.
• Have experience in volunteering and activism.
• Have a strong character and devotion that can carry them through this fight.
• Have a desire to effect change in a society.
• Must not necessarily be biologists or conservationists.

Salary/funding:
No salary, just minimum to survive

Support provided for internship/volunteer positions (travel, meals, lodging):
Supported by LAGA or Conservation Justice after a test period
