PhD Student Position on Vision, Attention and Consciousness, LPP, Université Paris Descartes, Fin: 31 nov. 2015

PhD student position at LPP, Paris, with Claire Sergent on Vision, Attention and Consciousness, using Experimental Psychology, EEG/MEG and fMRI. Collaborations with other lab members, including Florian Waszak and Patrick Cavanagh.

Starting date : October 2015 or later

Duration : three years


A position is open for a PhD student at LPP (http://lpp.psycho.univ-paris5.fr) to work with Claire Sergent also in collaboration with other lab members. The project will use new protocols (including retroperception, Sergent al Current Biology 2013) to probe the role of attention in conscious visual perception, using experimental psychology, EEG/MEG and fMRI. Experiments in MEG and fMRI will be conducted at the Institut du Cerveau et de la Moëlle (ICM), in collaboration with Lionel Naccache.

Training in vision research and some experience with EEG, MEG or fMRI is important, as is programming proficiency. (We program mainly in Matlab and Python).

The candidate needs to have a Masters or equivalent.
