Description : De
nombreuses espèces animales sont capables de résoudre des problèmes
impliquant des manipulations physiques plus ou moins complexes.
Cependant, les mécanismes de développement de ces capacités tant chez
l'humain que chez l'animal restent très peu connus.
L'objectif
de ce projet est de réaliser un suivi longitudinal de la manipulation
d'objets et de tâches cognitives chez le bébé corbeau de Nouvelle
Calédonie (Corvus moneduloides) peu après la sortie du nid.
Qualifications : Niveau
Bac+2 minimum en biologie, psychologie, agronomie ou éthologie. Etre
rigoureux, motivé, patient, et être à l'aise avec le travail en
autonomie. Pratique de l'anglais nécessaire, l'allemand n'est pas
obligatoire.
Autres informations : Il
sera demandé au stagiaire d’être au laboratoire certains week-ends.
Aucune indemnité mensuelle n'est prévue. Possibilité de logement sur
place pour 200€ par mois.

Description: Problem-solving
abilities involving physical manipulations are a core survival skill
for humans and many animals. However, the developmental processes
underlying the emergence of such capacities in humans and in animals
remain poorly understood. To investigate this question, will follow
longitudinally the development of object manipulation and cognitive
tasks in the New Caledonian crow (Corvus moneduloides) soon after fledging.
Qualifications: at
least 2nd year of bachelor in biology, psychology, ethology or any
related field. The candidate must be rigorous, independent, motivated
and patient. Fluent in English (mandatory), german not mandatory.
Additional information: The
candidate will be asked to stay at the station over some week-ends. No
salary can be provided. Onsite accommodation opportunity for 200€ per
month.
