This is a fixed term position until 28 January 2017, to cover maternity leave.
We invite applications for a temporary full time Lecturer in Animal Welfare and Behaviour Science at the Royal Veterinary College.
You will be responsible for organisation and delivery of teaching and assessment materials for the RVC’s BSc BioVeterinary Science Year 3 Animal Behaviour and welfare module and BSc Biological Science (Animal Behaviour Welfare and Ethics) pathway. You will be expected to actively participate in assessment and academic administration of these courses, contribute to teaching on other RVC undergraduate courses, supervise undergraduate (and if appropriate postgraduate) students, perform tutoring duties and to contribute to and participate in relevant research.   
We are looking for candidates with an excellent degree/level 6 qualification in zoology/animal science or other relevant discipline and a period of postgraduate training in animal behaviour, welfare science or ethics. A PhD is desirable. You will have experience of teaching undergraduate students and a willingness to undertake research related to animal behaviour and welfare. You will have excellent organisational and communication skills and be able to work collaboratively across teams.
