The School of Veterinary Science seeks to appoint an outstanding candidate in livestock welfare and innovation as a result of significant investment and new opportunities arising from the creation of the multi-partner CIEL (centre for innovation and excellence in livestock) consortium. The successful candidate will consolidate the School’s strength in poultry welfare research and will take an active role in the academic management of the new CIEL poultry research facility currently under construction. The person appointed will also take an active lead in forging new research relationships with industry partners and will be expected to represent the wider research interests of the School of Veterinary Science within CIEL. This post offers an exciting opportunity to make a major contribution to the development of sustainable, innovative, high welfare livestock systems within a rapidly changing research environment. Candidates should be able to demonstrate international-level research achievement and some experience of teaching within the HE sector.
